Financial Literacy Project

$250.00

Students will familiarize themselves with, and apply financial principles such as budgeting, compound interest, spending habits, & more, to design, construct, and put to use a functioning “Piggy Bank” made from everyday materials.
Set in the vibrant city of STIIX-Ville, students are preparing to help the town navigate the “spending spree” that has turned into an economic problem for the city.
By applying their new knowledge of financial responsibility, it is up to the students to lead the way on discerning wants vs. needs, establishing a savings, and passing those skills along to the community!
Although this specific project is not on there, check out our optional Augmented Reality app, STIIX-Ville. In it, students can bring concepts & careers to life for 6 of our other STIIX projects.🏙️

Why Educators Choose
Hands-On Engineering

Students don't learn engineering by watching someone else engineer. These bundles put the materials in their hands and the challenge in front of them. Students investigate a concept, design a solution, build it, test it, learn from what happened and try again. That's where the learning happens.
